    The first-generation founders of Jangheung Hoegwan in their younger days

    A name they could not change, a legacy they kept

    After their Seoul business struggled in 1981, the founders began selling goods at Icheon's five-day market.

    They later had the opportunity to take over a restaurant called Jangheung Hoegwan. With debts to repay and no money to replace the sign, they kept the existing name.

    Since 1982, that name has carried the time and cooking of two generations.
